Why we exist as a band:
To relentlessly pursue the father Heart of God through music; expressing His love intentionally and joyfully, releasing His anointing, believing for restoration, healing and encouragement and to create an atmosphere for direct connection with Heaven and let the Holy Spirit lead us through it all.
Jamie Anderson
Jamie Maus-Walker was born to John Walker (of 60's hit pop group The Walker Brothers) and Julie Anderson (who worked for Dee Time and The Beatles' manager Brian Epstein). Growing up in a single parent family until he was 8 years old, then Rod and Julie Anderson married and Jamie took on the last name of Anderson and was adopted by Rod Anderson. From the age of 6 Jamie began playing the piano and writing songs and by the age of 13 was singing and playing in front of people, including church.
His heart was captivated for worship but he began writing songs that could speak to his generation outside the church. At 16 he recorded a demo with a close friend and it received interest from two major labels but something wasn't right. The world didn't need another rock star. At 18, after a difficult year and a life changing experience, Jamie left for Chicago and attended Christian Life College to study music in ministry. Today, Jamie is passionate about expressing worship without restraint and believes that much of the church is simply singing songs - yet God is craving His people to worship Him with everything that they have - experiencing everything that God is.
Alisha Anderson
Alisha grew up in church and was always involved in worship. Ron & Judy Rice, Alisha's parents are pastors and always encouraged her to sing, playing the piano and write songs. By age 15, she was leading worship and knew the call on her life was intimacy in worship. This has stayed true to this day and her passion for worship is not only evident in the songs she writes but the way she leads worship.
Jamie & Alisha Anderson
Jamie & Alisha Anderson met while studying music at Christian Life College, Mt. Prospect, IL, USA and have been married for 12 years with 2 amazing children; Kelsi 9 and Jaden 5. They moved to London in 2000 to work for Rod & Julie Anderson (jamie's parents), founders and leaders of The Prayer Foundation (previously known as Prayer for the Nations) and Commonwealth Church.
They have been leading worship together at conferences, events, seminars and churches since then and during that time have had the privilege to lead worship for some amazing men and women of God, including: Mike Bickle, Tom & Jane Hamon, Marilyn Hickey, Cindy Jacobs, Ian McCormack, Chuck Pierce, Dutch Sheets and many others..... more than anything though, their heart is to lead worship for the King of Kings.
They love to worship the King of Kings and are determined to see His name glorified through music. They are passionately intense, unashamedly free and seriously happy in how they express worship. If this sits right with you - then journey with them as they pray for heaven to collide with earth, hearts to be restored, lives to be changed and the world around impacted by the Love that shines through us.
In 2005 Jamie and Alisha Anderson teamed up with Andy Pressdee, Chris Mathison and Tom Hooper to create a dynamic sound that is able to flow in the spirit of prophetic and spontaneous worship, yet maintain corporate worship in focus. As a band they believe in worship leading not worship leaving and love every change they get to join with the saints in expressing the heart of God in worship.
